An hour north of New Orleans in the hills of St. Tammany Parish, Money Hill is a 5,500-acre property with an existing 18-hole golf course and residential community. Koontz Jones Design was hired to expand the existing PUD (planned-unit development) and develop a comprehensive master plan for the entire property. Our Clients’ goal is to create a complete and cohesive lifestyle community, with single-family neighborhoods, estate and equestrian lots, traditional cottage neighborhoods, senior-living facilities, a new 18-hole “core-golf” course with restaurants and lodging, centralized village with shops, restaurants, offices and community park, community clubhouse amenities, sport fields, expanded lakes, nature outfitter center, connected walking trails and over 1,700 acres of undeveloped open space, a long leaf pine and oak grove preserve. Over the coming years, Koontz Jones Design will work closely with the Client to develop a comprehensive and detailed vision that will guide future development, planning and design of the community.
