Kevin has over 27 years of experience in land planning and landscape architecture. Hailing from the Raleigh area, he spent more than 13 years in the Hilton Head Island, SC area working on national and international projects ranging from resort master planned communities to mixed-use developments. Kevin is responsible for design development and project envisioning. He enjoys working closely with clients to develop a complete project vision and lending a detailed eye to every design.

With over 28 years of planning experience, Bob has completed work on a wide variety of projects including commercial centers, resort developments, multi-family communities, master planned communities, corporate office campuses and public parks. While he provides project leadership from program development to construction drawings, Bob is particularly adept at project entitlements and conceptual visioning.

Design Associate

Curtis was born and raised in Moore County, North Carolina and began his career in 2022 with KoontzJones Design, after earning his degree in Architectural Technology from Sandhills Community College. Curtis’s interests lie in architecture and design. He prepares all KJD’s CAD drawings related to architectural and vertical project elements and works with numerous Architectural Review Boards to review site, grading, and landscape plans. In his spare time, Curtis enjoys being outdoors, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends.

Devin joined KoontzJones Design in 2022 after graduating from Utah State University with a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture. He has been involved in the planning and design of a range of multi-family, mixed-use, and resort projects throughout the United States. Devin’s passion for sustainability and community resilience adds valuable perspective to our planning and design process. He excels at projects that require group collaboration and attention to detail. He has worked on a variety of project scales ranging from trail layouts and community planning to preparing planting plans and construction details.

Design Associate

Alex joined KoontzJones Design in August of 2022 after earning his Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from North Dakota State University. Alex’s passion for playing golf and his background in golf course construction and maintenance guided his interest into the profession of Landscape Architecture and Design. Alex has worked on numerous community planning and design, golf resort, and multi-family projects since joining KJD. He is particularly adept at 3-D model visioning and has a keen eye for graphic presentation in preparing marketing renderings for clients. Alex’s admiration for the history of Landscape Architecture and its origins has found a perfect home near Pinehurst, where the presence of influential figures of the past is still felt.

After graduating from Ball State in 2006, Paul began his career in the golf industry. After working for a year in the field of golf course construction, he went to work for Nicklaus Design in Hong Kong, China. Paul moved back to the US to pursue a career in more traditional landscape architecture and planning, joining KoontzJones Design in 2015. Paul enjoys community planning and is adept in the preparation of detailed design development and construction drawings for all types of planning and landscape architecture projects.

With over 19 years of experience, Trevor has worked on the planning, design, and construction of numerous golf courses, planned communities, resort, mixed use, and specialized program projects throughout the US, Asia, and the Middle East. Trevor’s attention to design detail and extensive construction background ensures the vision and design of the client’s projects are realized. He thrives within a collaborative environment working on large-scale projects coordinating with interdisciplinary teams that required fluid and streamlined management to ensure projects are delivered to specification, on schedule, and within budget.

Connor spent two summers as an intern with KoontzJones Design and joined full-time in the summer of 2024. Connor graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture with a minor in Horticulture from Virginia Tech. Conor was named a 2024 Landscape Architecture Foundation Olmsted Scholar, and the recipient of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) Virginia Chapter Certificate of Honor. Connor brings leadership experience, having served on various executive boards, including President of the Virginia Tech Chapter of Sigma Lamba Alpha. His interest in the profession lies within golf and resort planning, conceptual design, and hand rendering. Outside of work, Connor enjoys spending time with his wife, tending to his plants, and playing and watching a variety of sports.

Jack joined KoontzJones Design in the summer of 2024 after earning his Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture from The University of Georgia. He is passionate about the harmonious integration of design concepts and their functionality, with the goal of creating spaces that are both practical and aesthetically pleasing. With a background in homebuilding and landscape installation, Jack enjoys engaging in all processes of design and construction. He is eager to expand his knowledge and continuously seeks to learn more about all facets of the industry.
