USGA GOLF HOUSE | PINEHURST, NC

Next door to the historic Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina, the United States Golf Association (USGA) is establishing a second headquarters with the Golf House Pinehurst. The USGA engaged KoontzJones Design to provide planning and landscape architectural services for their new facility in collaboration with Clear scapes Architecture and NC State University. Golf House Pinehurst will include a new equipment-testing facility, innovation hub, visitor’s center, museum, and USGA administrative offices. The design of the buildings and landscape will reflect the historical environment of the Village of Pinehurst and Resort and will include the relocation of the WorldGolf Hall of Fame. Reflective of the USGA’s mission of environmental sustainability, Golf House features a restoredLongleaf Pine grove with wire grasses native to the region and a native pollinator garden with water-wise grasses, perennials, shrubs and trees native to North Carolina. The Golf House is set to open in the spring of 2024, in time for the 2024 Men’s US Open at Pinehurst No. 2.
